The End Game

Picture this, an amazing well put together game with amazing gameplay, graphics, content, and depth. Then you get to the end of the game only to find out that there is nothing left to do. No end game, no raids, and not content just the lasting thoughts of you final mission. This is what we would like to avoid with Dragon Ball Z Kakarot. The game is already emerging as a potentially great game, but that word potential bothers me the most. Potential is when something is still yet has something great inside. However as long as it's still, what's inside never emerges. So the key is to get everything inside out and get the the game rolling which then turns all that potential into kinetic. How can they make a great end game and extend this game for years to come? To me, they already have all the elements in place to make that happen. For starters, the game is single player, and while some may see this as a weakness I see it as a strength. See most multiplayer games don't really have to worry about end game content because just being able to play against or with other players provides months of excitement and game play. All they have to do is throw a few new maps here and there, maybe a drop of content some raids and there you go. On the other side of the coin, single player games, especially in the rpg genre, tend to come with a lot more bang for your buck. These games either faze out or last for years. One thing about the Witcher 3 series that has it still selling copies is that it had a great structure, amazing depth, and a good end game. Dragon Ball Z Kakarot has a special diamond in the ruff that seems small on the surface, but is actually the key to this game's longevity. That this is its original content. Yes creator of Dragon Ball Akira Toriyama is working with Cyberconnect2 to create this game, and in doing so has added some backstories as well as original content just for the game. These are used to add depth to the game as well as provide some unanswered question in regards to the lore of Dragon Ball. This alone is something that can not only be extended via dlc, but can also build into a spin off for the game. Not to mention adding Dragon Ball Super to the mix. This anime series has grown, and with the recent release of the manga, is looking to be around for years to come. All these things come together to paint a picture of an endgame that will not only last but keep the players engaged for years on end. Finally, allowing the players a sort of uncapped leveling system with an adaptive AI can also prove to provide players with months of playing time. Just like in the anime, Goku and friends would train endlessly when not faced with a threat, waiting and preparing knowing one day they maybe needed to protect the earth. This can be reflected in game by allowing the player to continue to train and get stronger until new content drops. All in all, I feel that the end game will either be the second win in this marathon, or will be a thorn in the side of a game hat can be the best ever.

New Backstories are added to Dragon Ball Z Kakarot to expand on unanswered lore
